Bio
Elizabeth is a senior majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish from Mount Vernon,
Iowa. She is involved within the BBMB community as the Secretary of the Stupka Committee
and President of the Biochemistry Club. Elizabeth is an undergraduate researcher under the
mentorship of Dr. Rizia Bardhan in Chemical and Biological Engineering, where she works to
develop precision medicine technologies in noninvasive Raman imaging and nanoparticle drug
delivery systems. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, reading, and cooking up new recipes.
Following graduation from Iowa State, Elizabeth plans to enter the biomedical industry then
pursue her PhD in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in immunology or regenerative medicine.
